Sneakpeak of Nephilim Chapter 6

As the elevator continued upwards, we got a bird's-eye view of each, subsequent floor. Tahrovin gestured his hand to the collection of buildings and people that lay below. "Another purpose of ours is to house the lost; The Tree of Fate is a sanctuary for certain individuals who happen to pass by our home; Refugees, veterans, addicts, the homeless, the ill, even criminals on the run... Generally any who have lost their way. Even Father Jacob was one such person."
"That so? Your esteemed and divine leader I keep hearing about was once a sinner?" Xavier mocked in a dumb voice.
The old man narrowed his eyes at the draconian, who had a smug grin. "Every saint has a past, Xavier... Yes, our Father was at one point, a bandit of all things."
That peaked my curiosity. "How'd something like that happen?"
Kaytus spoke before Tahrovin could answer. "Father Jacob has not told anyone the details of his brigand days, because he is ashamed of them. Only what happened after. But that is a story for him to tell." The old human nodded in agreement with his comrade.
"Yes, but now, let's take this a few steps back. How we know your father, Alexander." Tahrovin smirked when he saw my facial expression suddenly turn to that of great interest. "That's a hard one to answer. From what I gather, you know almost nothing of your father?"
I shook my head. "Not a thing. I've only just learned that my dad's name is apparently 'Arthur'."
Tahrovin, barely held in a snicker, and turned his head to Kaytus. "Whaddya think Author would say if he heard that?" Kaytus said nothing, but for the first time since I've met him, he smiled.
"Something funny?" I asked, my arms crossed.
"As a matter of fact, yes. Your father is called 'Author', not 'Arthur'. The funny part is that's not the first time someone's called him that!" Tahrovin explained to me in between childish giggles.
"W-wait, like as in, a wr-writer?" Felix inquired.
"Yes, it's spelled like that." Tahrovin confirmed while recomposing himself. "Anywho, there is a very good reason that you hadn't met your father until recen-".
"Oh, I am sure there is." I cut him off. "There must be a good reason why my father left when I was kid,forcing my mother to work all the time, and forcing me to grow up without a father, and not visiting or even sending a goddamned post card!"
"Wow, somebody's got daddy issues!"

I have been superbly bored since highschool ended for me. I could be doing something productive, like writing the fifth chapter of Nephilim or maybe getting a freaking job, but nah.
So, I made a chatroom for the sake of roleplaying. Anyone interested? It will take place in Alysium, the world Nephilim takes place in. Rules and lore will be explained on the way.

Writing original stories SUCKS.
Cause now I don't want it to be first person, I want it to be third person, but I also really like first person.
